I was honored to be asked to create some beautiful soundscapes for Duhrivative’s first art show featuring pop culture icons as The Major Acarana. I composed these while looking at the art and wanted to bring out a mood of mystery and wonder all while maintaining a pop sensibility appropriate to the icons featured. I did a tarot reading and interpreted my reading as a spoken word part in “Boys Go To Jupiter.” I also paraphrased Austin’s writings about the pieces into another spoken word part in “Into The Void.” Luckily Adeshola Adigun lent me his philosopher voice for both these tunes. I designed all the synth sounds in these, and they’re made to be an ambiance as you create or take in the art. Happy listening!

Dominican artist and rapper Joelli and I teamed up to create this banger “Get On My Level". We wanted to make something fun and quirky, but with a ton of energy. The song came together super organically as we danced around the studio having a blast. Once I got a good groove going, Joelli laid down his rapid fire spanish flows and blew me away. The song eventually got licensed for Apple x Beats welcoming Leo Messi into the Beats family. A perfect pairing of music and visuals!

I had the pleasure of teaming up and producing this album for North Carolina based artist K.M. We wanted blend modern sounds with live instrumentation. This led us to hiring a drummer, playing bass and guitar, and hiring a trumpet player. Live sounds mixed with hard hitting 808's, layered kicks and snares made for a massive sound that still had that human feel. K.M. showed his range with high intensity raps like "M.V.P" and "God As My Witness" and more subdued, honest, heartfelt ones like "Feelings." This album has it all!

JDP is a Chicago born rapper, but based in Los Angeles, CA. We teamed up and I got to produce 2 songs “One More Time Baby” and “Either Way The Dice Roll” off his latest album You Don’t Got To Go Home. We wanted to create something fun, that called back to 90’s and early 2000’s Hip Hop but with a modern twist. We hired a drummer, bassist, and horns section to really fill it out and make it feel live and fun. Positive vibes all around. Excited to see where these go!

Joyeur is a female led pop duo from Los Angeles, CA. I had the pleasure of co-producing and mixing 2 songs on their debut album: “Ultraviolet Techno” and “Please Stand By.” Working with Jo and Anna is effortless. Anna has a great ear for cool sounds, and Jo has the vision and an airy, beautiful voice that just draws you in. We’re always on the same page, and I love the dreamy, spacey pop vibe that they’ve created.

ASTRØKNOTA is my dreamy pop, reggaeton, hip-hop alter ego. I wanted to create something that represented a few of my favorite modern musical influences. Reggaeton and latin Pop / hip-hop are pushing the bounds of music in the most creative and interesting ways. I linked up with Mario Sterling a few years back after being introduced through his manager while working at Interscope Records. He brought this project to life with his melodies, flow, and creative blending of Spanish and English. Some of my favorites on the album include “Gozar”, “Tú”, “Activa”, and “Muévelo.”

Little Brothr is my folk/pop alter ego. It blends Texas roots with California pop flavor. Acoustic guitars strum behind big beats, and swirling female harmonies provided by the lovely Alix Isom. It’s fun and upbeat and just supposed to make you feel good. “Life Is Good” was recently featured in the Netflix Trailer for Season 3 of Atypical!

Syd Duran is a songwriter, recording artist and front-woman of LA rock band Valora. Signed to Hollywood Records in 2007 as a solo artist, Syd landed her first tour opening up for the Jonas Brothers.
She began her songwriting career co-writing with the industry’s top songwriters and producers including The Matrix (Britney Spears, Shakira, Avril Lavigne), Kara Dioguardi (Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Jason Derulo), Rock Mafia (Eminem, Zedd, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Mariah Carey, Justin Bieber) and many more.
Syd and I have had a lot of success with the song “Dust & Bone.” It’s been featured in the 68 Whiskey promo, Walking Dead promo, FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 promo, American Gods Season 2 promo, and more.

MANHATTN is an EP that came together from opposite ends of the country. Co-written and co-produced with the talented Minnesota based songwriter/producer Drew Lerdal. We finished this EP through email without ever being in the same room. The songs are indie rock inspired with an anthemic, arena sound. Guitars blend with hard hitting acoustic and sampled drums. Catchy male vocals and earworm melodies will get stuck in your head. “Never Gonna Give Up” was featured in Buick Mexico’s 2019 ad campaign, and you can catch the other songs in a variety of TV shows including Sydney To The Max, Ravens Home, General Hospital, MTV’s Catfish, Seista Key and more!

Truli was a project I created with LA based producer/songwriter Danny Burke. Massive synths, big beats and catchy hooks combine to create pop that has heart. The footage from the music video was shot in Iceland by Dan Huiting (Bon Iver, Sylvan Esso, Bad Suns) and you can catch “Don’t Take My Summer Away” in the movie WISH UPON starring Joey King and Ryan Philippe, as well as on the official soundtrack!

F L O W E R Z was an album I wanted to make after years of growing up on female based pop music. Being raised in a household with 5 women shaped my musical taste. I wanted to create something that was inspired by my childhood but was also modern. “Portal” was featured in the new season of Veronica Mars, and others have been in shows like Total Bellas, the UK Royal Wedding, General Hospital and more!
